As much as I enjoy people reading the blog, I kind of hope you aren’t today. Maybe you are hanging out with family or resting from all of the holiday havoc, better yet maybe you’re getting ready for the big after Christmas sales this weekend.
I am doing a little of everything, resting and drinking coffee and hanging out with my daughter after a day with the family. I am in that region that has received a couple of feet of snow (or will have) before the weekend is over so unfortunately I won’t be making good on my second holiday goal, which was taking advantage of after Christmas sales. I hate driving in tons of snow, in fact I’d be perfectly fine with staying indoors the entire winter, but I have yet to find the job that allows that.
You might be interested in knowing that I had a wonderful Christmas. Got a fantastic candy arrangement, a digital camera-for all of the great pictures I’ll be adding to my posts, a printer to print out the many coupons I’ll be using this year, my very first I LOVE MOM mug-obviously for the pots of coffee I drink and a handmade calendar from a great Kindergartener. I don’t think I could’ve asked for one single thing more, add that to being with family all day and you have the ideal holiday.
Plus, my daughter is sitting on the floor writing a pop up book. She’s actually writing a story about a girl playing in the park with no “frens”, which means that even if I never write a bestseller, she might.
Anyway, I hope the holidays are fantastic for you, that you receive or witness something so moving you almost cry, that something or someone makes you realize that we work and we budget and we scrimp and save for these moments…and it’s worth it.
Merry Christmas, enjoy the holidays!
