Read this article today and have to admit that I’m a little jealous.
It was the article about the guy that was billed 23 quadrillion dollars on his credit card for a pack of cigarettes. I don’t even know why this is newsworthy since it’s obvious that he wasn’t going to be held responsible for 23 quadrillion dollars (what kind of monthly payment is that?). I think it’s interesting though because I can’t remember the last time anyone even used the word quadrillion. A million is used daily, billion and trillion almost as common and then I just jump to bazillion if I’m in a really hyperbolic mood. I’ve never used quadrillion and can’t recall anyone else using it either.
I’m jealous because it was of course acknowledged as an error right away and corrected. I’m hoping that my credit card companies will realize they made a mistake and lower my interest rate.
I know, not going to happen in a…quadrillion years.
