Yes, I definitely recycle the bottles. I may consider the Brita filter, although I’m not sure if that’s really any cheaper. Most of the time the cases are only like 3 or 4 dollars.

My husband wanted to get a bottled water service, but we can get filtered water from my job. So I take in gallon jugs and fill a few every few days. I don’t consider this “stealing” because I spend my own money occasionally on work things and I’m pretty sure that the water is worth less than that.

I do have to observe that um….unless your water is just awful, pouring some into a Brita filter pitcher is not that big a deal.

As the other commentor mentioned, I hope you’re recycling the bottles and maybe even considering buying 5-gallon dispensers rather than 12-oz bottles.

I drink the water here in town, but bottled water is still a necessity for me since I am on the road all the time. I only buy in packs of 24 or more and keep them in my truck. $1 or more for a single serving is still way too rich for my blood, since this can be the equivelant of $24 for that same pack I bought at target for $4 – $5. But I am still with you on the bottled water, it is the only thing I can drink when I know the water isn’t “good”.
