What’s In Your Purse?

Money Beagle covered “What’s in Your Wallet?” so I thought it would be fun to a) show you what’s currently in my purse and b) find out what everyone else is lugging around or stuffing in their back pockets.

I carry a large purse to work which includes notebooks, Boost drinks and calendars I don’t use in addition to my regular purse. My boss has mentioned many times that maybe I should carry more purses (he owns sarcasm) and even today mentioned that maybe so and so should carry two purses like I do. In my defense, the junkiest one serves the purpose of a backpack but looks better.

Anyway, I’m opening up the lesser of the junky purses that I carry. Not cleaned out, vulnerable to the world’s eyes (at least anyone who happens to read this).

1. Small Pink Makeup Bag- includes powder, lip gloss and eyeliner. Yikes, I guess I’m actually carrying around 3 bags then. Don’t tell anyone.
2. Wrinkled Check Book- I rarely write checks and this is for emergency purposes only. Wrinkled because it’s bare with no cover.
3. Trident White Gum- Great for chewing and whitening at the same time and giving you that wonderful minty fresh breath.
4. Empty Advil Bottle- I think this is in here in case I come across anyone that I can steal Advil from and refill my bottle.
5. Digital Camera- I may have to take pictures of something. Or I’m waiting for someone to show me how to use it.
6. Nail File- This is important stuff.
7. Bath & Body Works- Japanese Cherry Blossom antibacterial hand gel. Keeps away the swine flu germs. Or is just cute and smells good.
8. Hand Lotion- because the antibacterial dries my hands.
9. 2 GB Flashdrive- didn’t even know I owned this.
10. Numerous Pens that Write Well- I may have figured out who the pen thief at work is.
11. A Wrinkled Coupon- to reorder the checks I don’t use. Quite possibly expired.
12. A Bunch of Change- this should be going toward my Loose Change Experiment but I’m not sure how long this change has been in the bottom of my purse.
13. Four Unwrapped Vitamins- not sure why these are in my purse and I’m also not sure if they’re vitamins. I am sure that I won’t be consuming them.
14. Business Cards With My Old Phone Number- an employer gave me like 500 of these a while back. I have given out 4 I think to family members. There are about 15 dirty ones floating around the bottom of my purse and yes, they have my old number on them.
15. Cards- I carry my credit union debit card, PayPal debit card, driver’s license. No credit cards (because I don’t use them, remember?)
16. Cash- $16 which is mostly ones. Again, loose.

Okay, that wasn’t really much fun because I’ve come to the conclusion that this purse is filled with junk. I should note that everything is loose because I’ve tried those wallet things for purses, and nothing ever fits. I have really cute fancy ones and by the time I put my cards and cash and everything in them they won’t close, so I end up just dumping everything out. The only things that fit in those are pieces of paper and God knows I don’t need to carry around more paper.
